Well said Sonny, as the folks here would have read in the forum, I protested against Undertaker’s #1 contender/first match back/ return by not ordering ‘breaking point’ and I didnt… the fact that a guy, any guy can waltz back into the professional sporting arena as no. 1 contender to a World Title, after he’d been on holiday for 6 months is just insulting to any world champion, in this case the World Champion CM Punk. Im glad he retained his belt and to be fair to Punk, in this case any of his dirty tactics are 100% legitimate when against a guy who’s all about deception, smoke and mirrors, hollywood BS. In CM Punk we all have an anti-hero with a positive message, albeit arrogant… a wrestler who’s truly old-school and just damn good at what he does. In my opinion (and im no-body but what the hell!) he’s the best wrestler of WWE and the true heir to Shawn Michaels crown… congrats Punk, lets hope you get the opportunity to fight Undertaker without his entaurage of bullshit… I dont trust any man who wears eyeliner… Wrestlemania 26, for the power-brokers of WWE, let Punk off the leash as the Main Event… and he’ll finish what Shawn Michaels started last year and wipe that old zombie from everyone’s memories… somebody’s gotta do it…and that person is CM PUNK… and it will be a history worth remembering…

It has become obdvious to many who watch this great sport that the stars of yesterday are starting to fade away, Yes we will hold them in our hearts for years to come and cherish every memory that they have sacrificed to give to us, And their legacy’s and legends will live forever. But their respective time in the ring is drawing to an end.

Yes there are still several talented wrestlers left in wwe BUT with edge’s injury’s, wwe’s unknown reason for not allowing jericho in the world title picture despite being one of the best in ring preformers ever, undertakers age, hardy’s departure, and so forth the wwe needed a new main event wrestler Enter CM Punk:

CM Punk has come up in this buisness the Right way, Starting on the independant scene just over 10 years ago and perfecting his craft along the way and most importantly striking up a fan base that has followed him and grown with him over time.

The CM Punk we see today on smackdown is everything the wwe has been looking for. He has the ability and is comfortable in the ring and has the abilty to tell a story in the ring aswel, he has great mic skill,charisma,confidence and presence. A fresh character with many recognizable trademarks and a look that many of todays youth can relate to. He obdviously respects the buisness and most important of all thanks to his charisma and mean streak he is believable as world champion.

****But here is my point to those who work in wwe:***
You have a future icon in your midst someone who is talented in everyway and wants to stay in wwe for the longhaul. You should take the time to build him properly(who knows when a chance like this will come again)

Keep the belt on CM Punk until Wrestlemania 26 think about it it’s win win. The longer you keep the belt on punk the more credible he looks. The more people will hate him with a passion, The more time you will have to build other new talent!!! And PPV buyrates will go up because people will want to see CM Punk lose the belt, And then you will have a true epic wrestlemania MAIN EVENT where finally the undertaker beats cm punk 123 the crowd goes crazy and you’ve created a legendary memory.

Or you could take the belt off punk after another 3 month title reign and scratch your heads wondering why you dont have any credible main eventers or any matches people will care about because they all ready know who will win.

Speaking as a life long wrestling fan i have been filled with excitement counting down the days to smackdown And the Breaking Point PPV because of cm punk.

And you should seize this oppurtunity to have a 7 month money making,spell binding title reign as opposed to another year where the world title changes hands 10 times and nobody cares.

Bottom line stars like CM Punk do not come along everyday seize the oppurtunity to utilize him because who knows when the oppurtunity will come along again.

Great result for Punk, congrats beyond belief. I just feel that the match was too short (not his fault) and it should’ve been more technical (again, not his fault). I hope that he keeps using the Anaconda Vice as an alternative finisher (please WWE dnt screw it up like the Walls Of Jericho!). Btw i think adding a move like the Cobra Clutch to his already awesome arsenal would cement his vicious and hardcore nature. Any thoughts on that ppl?

Yeah Chez41, a few alternative moves keeps it interesting, but 8 minutes (apparently) was too short. Punk is younger (by a long way) which means his endurance is greater and the longer any match goes the bigger Punk’s advantage over the old zombie… I really hope Punk will be the one to really retire Undertaker, just be a shame for a really interesting and fascinating power-house wrestler like CM Punk to not be the one to achieve that result… no-one else at Smackdown or Raw deserves that opportunity- their very one dimensional characters and you want something like the end of Undertaker to be special and original.
