John Cena, CM Punk, Sheamus, WWE Tag Team Champions Air Boom & Mason Ryan def. WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio, Christian, Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes, U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger & David Otunga (WATCH)
Enemies collided and rivalries were reborn in this massive 12-man tag team main event, scheduled earlier in the night by Triple H. Immensely proud of his tainted WWE Title win on Sunday, Alberto Del Rio once again took the fight to his Hell in a Cell opponents John Cena and CM Punk, who led the charge against The Mexican Aristocrat and a veritable “who’s who” of WWE’s most devious competitors.

In the end, The “Great White” Sheamus – who soundly defeated Christian one night early – scored a victory for his team with a well-timed Brogue Kick to U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler.

Destiny (and chaos) once again smiled on Alberto Del Rio, who ventured into “Hell” for the first time this Sunday and attained his second WWE Championship. The Mexican Aristocrat overcame both CM Punk and defending titleholder John Cena in an epic Triple Threat Hell in a Cell encounter, but his monumental triumph inside Satan’s Structure was arguably eclipsed not only by the controversial circumstances of his victory but by the frenzied aftermath of the match itself.

All three these competitors put forth an impressive effort as they vied for WWE’s grandest prize in the most barbaric of environments, but it was The Mexican Aristocrat who emerged from this career-threatening encounter with the WWE Championship after nailing Punk with a steel pipe. However, none of these battle-tested ring warriors anticipated the brutality that former WWE Superstars The Miz and R-Truth had in store for each of them and the entire WWE Universe after the bout.

WWE Champion John Cena def. Christian by Disqualification; Alberto Del Rio attacked The Champ (WATCH)
A lot of things have happened inside the callous confines of Hell in a Cell, but the WWE Universe has neverwitnessed a Triple Threat Match waged inside The Devil’s Playground. Despite the horrors that surely await him, WWE Champion John Cena had an air of confidence about him as he addressed the WWE Universe about his collision with Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk just six days later.

Cena locked up with Christian in a non-title showdown, but it was the verbal sparring between The Mexican Aristocrat and The Second City Savior on commentary that really enthralled our fans watching the action from home. The ringside confrontation got physical when Cena threw Christian over the announce table and into Punk. As Punk and Cena stared each other down, Del Rio assaulted The Straight Edge Superstar, then attacked Cena with an enziguri that resulted in Christian’s disqualification. Will Del Rio’s destiny be reclaimed at Hell in a Cell?

Triple H announced WWE Champion John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk in a Triple Threat Hell in a Cell Match, promised to fire someone (WATCH)
Triple H was steamed. Less than 24 hours earlier, at Night of Champions, WWE’s Chief Operating Officer competed against CM Punk. Although he prevailed in the bout and retained his position as COO, The Game was nonetheless furious about how it all went down. Not only did The Miz & R-Truth attempt to interfere in the bout, an already terminated Kevin Nash marched through the crowd and amubushed both men. Continue reading »

WWE COO Triple H def. CM Punk (No Disqualification Match)

Superstars, Divas, consultants and all others can stow their résumés for the time being. At Night of Champions, WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H trounced the ambitions of would-be successors as he defeated CM Punk to maintain his spot as top executive in WWE, thanks to the man terminated by The Game weeks ago: Kevin Nash. (PHOTOS)

But it’s really not that easy.

Like the rest of the WWE Universe, the anti-establishment “Voice of the Voiceless” may be speechless right now after falling to said establishment in a No Disqualification Match that ultimately favored The Game by making Nash’s Jackknife Powerbomb (and unexpected attack on Triple H, himself) plainly legal. Given the rules of the match, it was all fair game, including the disruption of The Miz & R-Truth, whose attack on the combatants opened the flood gates to sheer chaos. Triple H and CM Punk faced off before Night of Champions (WATCH)

Technical difficulties, audio problems, microphone malfunctions. Whatever you call it, CM Punk couldn’t seem to get a word in edgewise as he and Triple H engaged in a combustible verbal confrontation. The Second City Savior’s microphone suddenly shorted out just as he was about to express something he’d been dying to say to The Game. The scenario was reminiscent of Punk’s now famous diatribe against Triple H, Mr. McMahon and WWE when his mic also quit in the run up to SummerSlam.

A livid Punk cast his suspicions on WWE’s Chief Operating Officer, who had a working microphone in his hand. After watching one mic go belly up, The Game offered The Second City Savior his mic. Just as he revved up his verbal engine, though – you guessed it – the second mic failed on him as well. Triple H summoned a third mic from ringside and handed it over. Punk, however, used it to clobber The King of Kings before leaving the ring. While WWE’s COO seethed inside the square circle, his antiestablishment rival scowled back at him from the entrance ramp. The very personal animus between Punk and Triple H, who must resign as COO if he loses Sunday, is primed to blow in a No Disqualification Match at Night of Champions.

WWE COO Triple H fired Kevin Nash (WATCH)
Exhibiting shades of his father-in-law, Mr. McMahon, WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H asserted his executive power and fired longtime friend Kevin Nash in a move that shocked both the WWE Universe and Big Daddy Cool himself. The unpleasant altercation had been building for weeks, as Nash continued to both defy and provoke The Game.

The mounting issues between the two finally came to a head. Punk was addressing the WWE Universe when Big Daddy Cool interrupted, trading verbal jabs with The Second City Savior. Before the two could trade blows, The Game came out to ease tensions. Nash informed him, though, that WWE wasn’t big enough for both he and Punk, that one of them would have to go. The Game then revealed he’d received security camera footage from L.A.’s STAPLES Center from the night of SummerSlam. Turns out, Nash had snuck into the COO’s office and sent a text to himself from Triple H’s phone, instigating his attack on CM Punk that night. In other words, Big Daddy Cool had been lying to his good friend for weeks. That’s when Triple H finally handed Nash his walking papers.

When the COO attempted to leave, Nash blocked his exit. The Game was having none of it, and instead, clocked the seven-footer in the face before striding out of the ring.

CM Punk def. R-Truth; stipulation added to Triple H vs. Punk (WATCH: PART 1 | PART 2)
The conspiracy against R-Truth continues, or so he’d have you believe. The unbalanced Superstar ambushed CM Punk last week as he fought The Miz. This week, Punk would be up against more of the same from these two. This time, however, it would be Truth’s partner who would attempt to interfere. Unlike last week, though, Miz got booted from the arena before the match could end. As a result, Punk recovered and managed to prevail.

Afterward, Punk’s Night of Champions’ opponent, Triple H, emerged to thicken the plot. WWE’s Chief Operating Officer challenged The Second City Savior to make theirs a No Disqualification Match. Punk said he would comply with The Game’s stipulation only if Triple H agreed to quit as COO were he to lose. A confident King of Kings readily agreed.

Kevin Nash dropped COO Triple H to the canvas
After exchanging emotional and heated words, it looked like CM Punk and Triple H might come to blows before their Night of Champions match. But before things came to a head, Kevin Nash charged to the ring. With Punk seething, the COO kept him at bay. But when Triple H lost control, Punk and Nash collided, with Punk getting a massive boot to the face. Then in a stunning move, Nash dropped Triple H to the canvas with a demonstrative show of force. The contract chaos begs the question: Has Triple H lost complete control? After the mayhem, Nash refused comment to Matt Striker.

Triple H announced the Raw SuperShow; arranged CM Punk vs. Kevin Nash at Night of Champions (WATCH)
Friendship can be a lot of work, especially if you’re friends with Kevin Nash. After making a major announcement that moving forward the Superstars of both Raw and SmackDown will appear on Monday Night Raw, WWE COO Triple H demanded that his longtime pal offer him an apology in front of the WWE Universe for lying to him last week. The former WWE Champion emerged and admitted that, yes, he had his driver tell Mr. John Laurinitais he’d been in a car accident to get Triple H out of the arena. He did so, he said, in order to payback CM Punk for embarrassing him earlier in the night. Although Nash confessed to the deception, he continued to maintain that he did not know who had sent him a text message instructing him to attack Punk two weeks earlier.

DIGITAL PICTURES — SCREEN CAPTURES

Triple H confronted Kevin Nash; CM Punk got laid out (WATCH)
For Triple H, it was high time to clear the air. During his first pay-per-view as WWE COO, The Game’s good friend, Kevin Nash, had attacked newly-crowned WWE Champion CM Punk, allowing Alberto Del Rio to coast to a WWE Title reign after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.

In the wake of the scandal, Nash explained that he’d received a text from Triple H’s phone instructing him to “stick” the winner of the WWE Title Match. WWE’s COO confirmed that the text did, in fact, come from his phone, but he insisted he was not the sender before vowing to uncover the identity of the real culprit.

Before The Game could finish his pronouncement, though, CM Punk emerged to challenge his version of the truth. When hostilities between Triple H and Punk became heated, Nash intervened with a cheap shot across Punk’s jaw. The blow crumpled The Second City Savior and ticked off The Cerebral Assassin, who left the ring in a huff – followed by Big Daddy Cool.

John Cena def. CM Punk (WATCH: PART 1 | PART 2)
An already tangled web of deceit surrounding the WWE Championship has grown into a snarled jungle of falsehoods, half-truths and backstabbing. As John Cena and CM Punk clashed for the opportunity to face WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio at Night of Champions, The Mexican Aristocrat and Mr. John Laurinitais added to the intrigue by sitting at ringside to observe the match.

Once the bell sounded, Punk and Cena continued their animosity unabated, both colliding with and countering each other. And then another curious thread was woven into the already contentious tapestry. Kevin Nash emerged inside the arena, distracting The Second City Savior and allowing The Cenation

Interesting. Especially since Mr. John Laurinitais had informed Triple H that Nash, his longtime friend, had been in a car accident while driving to the airport prompting The Game to leave the show in Laurinitais’ hands.

The tumultuous turn of events prompted more questions than answers. For instance, did Mr. John Laurinitais really receive a phone call informing him Nash had been in a car accident, or did he just want to get Triple H out of the arena? And is the current WWE Champion, Alberto Del Rio, mixed up in the deceptions?
