CM Punk interrupted Kevin Nash (WATCH)
Triple H calls himself “The Game,” and according to his longtime friend Kevin Nash, he’s been playing some games as well. Big Daddy Cool revealed that at SummerSlam, he received a text from Triple H’s phone that instructed him – on no uncertain terms – to take out whoever won the Undisputed WWE Championship Match.
As the competitor to simultaneously become the Undisputed Champion and make himself the latest victim of “Big Sexy’s” dreaded Jackknife Powerbomb, Punk had reason to speak up following Nash’s revelation, accusing the veteran grappler of being a liar and placing blame for the incident on his massive shoulders. The two former WWE Champions laid into one another with a succession of cutting remarks, but it was Punk would get the last word when he vowed to obtain the truth about Nash’s SummerSlam involvement from the WWE COO himself.

With only six days to go before WWE Champion John Cena faces WWE Champion CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam, Triple H made it clear that there will be only one titleholder at the end of the night. The lengths WWE’s new COO went to tonight in order to guarantee a fair outcome shocked the entire WWE Universe.
Triple H announced a special guest referee for the SummerSlam main event (WATCH | PHOTOS)
With only six days to go before one of the most important nights in WWE history, Triple H dropped another bomb on the WWE Universe — the Undisputed WWE Championship Match between WWE Champion John Cena and WWE Champion CM Punk will have a special guest referee.
Believing that a bout of this magnitude is too important to risk outside interference or underhanded maneuvers, WWE’s Chief Operating Officer revealed that he’s enlisted the help of the one man he knows who can get the job done right — himself. Continue reading »
July 25 Raw Results: Punk Returns!!

DIGITAL PICTURES — SCREEN CAPTURES
As identical gleaming prizes reflected the faces of both the dogged John Cena and the vilified CM Punk in the same ring on Raw, the WWE Universe instantly came to recognize that, at least for now, The Champsare here.
Two became one incredible sight at the conclusion of Monday Night Raw as newly minted WWE Champion John Cena came head-to-head, tight fade-to-slicked back mane with a reemerging Punk, who came complete with his own absconded WWE Title (WATCH). Implicitly challenging the legitimacy of Cena’s proud championship victory, it was a spectacle many longed to see since the Chicago native’s controversy-stained final match at Money in the Bank in which the renegade fled the scene of the ultimate squared circle crime in his hometown. Money In The Bank Results!!

DIGITAL PICTURES — SCREEN CAPTURES
CM Punk did it. He opened a black hole in the WWE Universe, seizing the WWE Championship in his hometown within his final hours as a contracted employee of Vince McMahon, sufficiently embarrassing The WWE Chairman and conquering a now-fired John Cena, “The Champ.”
Averting the last-ditch desperate measures of The Chairman of the Board – including an attempted Montreal-esque Chicago Screwjob and a cash-in coup by Money in the Bank contract winner Alberto Del Rio – Punk escaped the Allstate Arena with the WWE Title and its 63-year lineage as he blew Mr. McMahon and WWE a kiss goodbye.

CM Punk returned, confronted WWE Champion John Cena (WATCH: PART 1 | PART 2)
Two weeks after unleashing one of the most scathing, groundbreaking rants in WWE history, The Second City Savior returned to Raw – a return made possible thanks to an unlikely source, WWE Champion John Cena. Punk’s longtime nemesis and opponent at Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view argued with Mr. McMahon about his decision to suspend Punk for the epic tirade. The WWE Chairman grudgingly relented and agreed to reinstate the holier-than-thou Superstar … under one condition. If Punk prevails on Sunday and leaves with the WWE Title, Cena will be fired.
Punk did not return, however, to thank The Champ for laying his career on the line. Instead, he was there to renegotiate his contract – on his terms. After WWE officials contacted him, The Second City Savior insisted the negotiation happen on live TV and that he will walk if The WWE Chairman himself doesn’t beg him to stay.
Cena emerged to confront Punk, but before tensions got too strained between the two, Raw’s anonymous General Manager chimed in and arranged a 2-on-1 Handicap Match pitting the WWE Champion against WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty.

Contract negotiations unraveled between CM Punk and Mr. McMahon; WWE Champion John Cena attacked Punk
CM Punk is a man with nothing to lose. And that makes him a dangerous man, indeed.
Two weeks after giving Mr. McMahon the verbal equivalent of a kick in the grapefruits, The Second City Savior returned to Raw to renegotiate his contract. This time, though, he clearly had the upper hand. Although The Chairman had agreed to all of Punk’s earlier demands in the wake of a threat by WWE Champion John Cena, the preachy Superstar still wasn’t satisfied. Punk insisted that he also receive a private jet, that WWE ice cream bars return, that he star in his own movie and that he main event at WrestleMania. Although Mr. McMahon appeared grudgingly prepared to sign, Cena brought negotiations screeching to a halt.
The WWE Champion confronted Punk and things quickly devolved. After listening to Punk deride him for becoming everything he hates, Cena clocked his Money in the Bank opponent, who wisely snatched the contract from Mr. McMahon and skirted from the ring. He fled up the entrance ramp and once again unleashed a tirade against Cena, Mr. McMahon and the whole of the WWE Universe before tearing up his unsigned contract.

Kane def. CM Punk in a Raw Roulette Mystery Opponent Match by Count-out
Whenever The Big Red Machine hits the ring, betting on red seems like a no-brainer. Knowing that his days in WWE are numbered, and that any injury could stack the odds against him in his WWE Title encounter with John Cena at WWE Money in the Bank, CM Punk escaped Kane’s fiery onslaught by exiting the ring and intentionally getting himself counted out.
In other action later tonight, WWE Champion John Cena will battle the unstable R-Truth, and Big Show will face his nemesis, Alberto Del Rio. What will be the stipulations in these explosive match-ups? The Raw Roulette wheel will decide!
CM Punk interrupted Shawn Michaels
Michaels announced the premiere of his new hunting and lifestyle program called Shawn Michaels’ MacMillan River Adventures, debuting the following night on the Outdoor Channel, a brash CM Punk disrespectfully interrupted and threatened the returning Showstopper, reminding him and the entire WWE Universe that once his contract expires at WWE Money in the Bank on July 17, that will be the last time we’ll see The Second City Savior – and the WWE Championship.
After HBK dispatched WWE Tag Team Champion David Otunga with some Sweet Chin Music, Raw’s anonymous General Manager reminded Punk that since The Straight Edge Superstar has only three Mondays left in WWE, they’re going to count. With a spin of the wheel, the New Nexus overlord found himself facing a mystery opponent: Kane! If that wasn’t enough, Michaels tuned up the band again for Otunga’s tag team partner Michael McGillicutty, ensuring that, given Mason Ryan’s absence due to injury, Punk would face The Devil’s Favorite Demon without his armbanded lackeys.

Raw GM arranged Triple Threat Match to determine No. 1 contender for WWE Title (WATCH)
Go ahead, Punk, keeping digging yourself deeper. The Second City Savior not only insulted the WWE Universe by flat-out telling them their choices during the night’s Raw: Power to the People would be horrible, he also insulted the anonymous Raw GM by insisting he get an opportunity to face WWE Champion John Cena for the title at Money in the Bank in Chicago next month, he continued to interrupt the GM’s decisions. All this led the GM to force Punk to face both Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat Match to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE Title later tonight.
CM Punk def. Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat Falls Count Anywhere Match (WATCH: PART 1 | PART 2)
CM Punk doesn’t play small ball. He proved it once again when he defeated both Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat Match to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship. Per the WWE Universe, the three Superstars competed in a Falls Count Anywhere Match, which garnered 66% of the vote as opposed to 23% for a No Disqualifications Match and 11% for a Submission Match.
As if his victory weren’t enough of a laurel to rest upon, The Second City Savior went on to explain that his WWE contract expires the day of Money in the Bank, taking place in his hometown of Chicago. Punk then informed the WWE Universe that he not only intends to win the WWE Championship from John Cena, he intends to take the title with him when he exits WWE.
Capitol Punishment: CM Punk def. Rey Mysterio
DIGITAL PICTURES — SCREEN CAPTURES
Even without the flanking of his New Nexus rebels at Capitol Punishment, CM Punk eked out a sound victory over longtime enemy Rey Mysterio, closing the latest chapter on their storied rivalry and positioning Punk to next “do the most honest thing the WWE Universe has even seen.”
While his cryptic message begs for clarity in the wake of Capitol Punishment, the one certainty to be extracted is that – as attested by The Straight Edge Superstar’s staidness to his unique lifestyle – Punk takes personal vows most seriously. It’s a matter of time before the New Nexus leader’s actions make an indelible impact on the WWE Universe – not too dissimilar to that left on The Master of the 619 in Washington D.C., on pay-per-view.
The Ultimate Underdog, in this instance, wasn’t overwhelmed by the odds of the yellow-and-black armbanded renegades commanded by CM Punk. Banned by an authority-wielding “Stone Cold” Steve Austin prior to the pay-per-view clash, The New Nexus ranks – WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty, plus the monstrous Mason Ryan – could not intervene in their savior’s favor.
The result? A definitive match between two former World Champions who’ve fought for hair, mask, family honor and much more in their intertwined pasts.
CM Punk evades Rey Mysterio’s 619 at Capitol PunishmentIn a fast-paced physical dispute between two men who are more than well versed in one another’s techniques and movesets, CM Punk snared a satisfying pinfall victory after slipping a 619 into a GTS. Digits morphed into letters and the referee’s three-count sealed The Straight Edge Superstar’s sworn impending act of honesty.
No alcohol, no drugs, no tobacco and no lies. According to the sinister CM Punk, he will outwardly differentiate himself from the politicians of Washington and his fellow Superstars whom he dubbed frauds.
Empowered by his substantial triumph on pay-per-view, Punk walks forth with obscured intentions. Honesty is typically the best policy … except when brandished by one with an ashen heart like CM Punk. What exactly is up The Second City Savior’s tape and tattoo sleeves? And when will he play his hand?

CM Punk def. WWE Champion John Cena in a Non-Title Match (WATCH)
R-Truth is crazy like a fox. As the No. 1 contender for the WWE Title, Truth plotted to improve his odds going into this Sunday’s Capitol Punishment, when he will face off against WWE Champion John Cena. As The Champ competed against CM Punk, he proved unrelenting in his attack. Never one to give up, Cena fought through The Second City Savior’s assault.
And since The New Nexus was banned from ringside, The Champ probably thought he was in for a fair fight. Alas, Truth wasn’t about to let that happen, not with a mere six days until their title match at Capitol Punishment. The “Jimmy” hating jerk distracted Cena, handing Punk the opportunity he needed to overcome The Champ. Truth then snatched the WWE Title, clobbered Cena in the face with it and taunted his incapacitated adversary.
