AJ Lee allowed the WWE Universe to pick WWE Champion CM Punk’s opponent for Raw
Raw General Manager AJ Lee kicked off the night by announcing two big matches for Raw: Randy Orton vs. Big Show and John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan. As she was about to announce another match, WWE Champion CM Punk’s music blared and The Straight Edge Superstar came out to the ring to apologize for letting the emotions get the better of him when he angrily confronted AJ last week on Raw. After the Raw GM accepted his apology, Punk told AJ she made a mistake by putting him a Triple Threat Match at SummerSlam and urged her to cancel the bout against Cena and Big Show, but the Raw GM refused to comply. The WWE Champion accused AJ of just trying to get back at him for when he rejected her marriage proposal in front of the whole WWE Universe. (PHOTOS) Continue reading »

WWE Champion CM Punk showed no remorse for his GTS on The Rock
WWE Champion CM Punk opened Raw by addressing the WWE Universe. The Straight Edge Superstar proclaimed that the end to Raw’s 1,000th episode left a bad taste in his mouth, and then confronted commentator Jerry “The King” Lawler face to face from atop the announce table. Telling Lawler that he was wrong to say Punk turned his back on the WWE Universe, The Straight Edge Superstar boasted that The Rock showed an incredible lack of respect to him last week, so he dropped him with the Go To Sleep to show him exactly what he has to look forward to when they square off at the 2013 Royal Rumble. The Rock proclaimed he will fight for the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble
WWE Champion CM Punk jumped on the opportunity to pour salt on Bryan’s wounds as the stranded groom continued to throw a tantrum in the ring. Bryan shouted at Punk that he’s the greatest of all time, but The Great One quickly deflated Bryan’s boasting. The Rock came out to the ring and told Bryan that he doesn’t get to say who the greatest of all time – only the WWE Universe gets to say that. In turn, the St. Louis crowd chanted, “Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!” (VIDEO | PHOTOS)
Likening Bryan to Frodo Baggins from “Lord of the Rings,” The Brahma Bull said he wasn’t there to trash the disgruntled Superstar, but rather wanted to talk about the WWE Championship. The Rock boldly proclaimed to The Straight Edge Superstar that he will fight for – and win – the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble, regardless of who holds the title at that time. Bryan angrily interrupted The Rock and claimed that it would be he who becomes WWE Champion and the new face of WWE. The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment mocked that notion, telling Bryan he looks more like the offspring of a homeless lumberjack and an Oompa-Loompa, and then flattened him with a ring-shaking Rock Bottom. WWE Champion CM Punk vs. Big Show announced (PHOTOS)
In the same city where WWE Champion CM Punk delivered his blistering “pipe bomb” a little more than a year ago (MORE), The Straight Edge Superstar kicked off the final Raw before the historic 1,000th episode by declaring he has firmly proven he is the best in the world.
But inside the sold-out Mandalay Bay Casino, Big Show interrupted to offer his thoughts on how the champion’s last year has gone and claim he was inches away from winning a championship contract at Money in the Bank. As Big Show and Punk traded verbal barbs, The World’s Largest Athlete pointed out the gigantic implications of their main event match. With the very good chance Punk could get knocked out, he’d be in real jeopardy of Mr. Money in the Bank John Cena cashing in his contract.
CM Punk def. Big Show by disqualification; John Cena to cash in on Raw 1,000

After pushing themselves to the limit in their respective matches one night earlier at Money in the Bank, Big Show and WWE Champion CM Punk fought tooth-and-nail in the night’s main event. As the battle waged on, it looked like The Straight Edge Superstar had Show right where he wanted when Punk launched himself onto Show with a flying elbow from the top rope. But Show came back with a wicked chokeslam that almost resulted in a three count. Next, with the referee knocked out of commission by Show, the bout ended in a disqualification and Show continued to batter the champion. But before he could inflict more damage, Mr. Money in the Bank John Cena charged in with his briefcase.
After citing Punk’s 239-day reign as champion, Cena announced he would be cashing in his championship contract next week. “At Raw 1,000, with both of us fresh, we will find out who the best in the world really is,” Cena said.
Not done yet, Mr. Money in the Bank followed up on his Tout to the WWE Universe from earlier in the day. As he uttered the words “My huge announcement? …” Cena swiftly bashed Show with his metal Money in the Bank briefcase, sending him crashing to the arena floor.

Daniel Bryan won a Three-Way Elimination Match
PHOTOS | WATCH
Vickie Guerrero kicked off Raw SuperShow by reminding the WWE Universe that the WWE Board of Directors appointed her Interim GM. Her first order of business was announcing a Three-Way Elimination Match.
With AJ watching from a backstage monitor, WWE Champion CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Kane went to war. With Bryan reeling, Punk signaled for the Go to Sleep, but a big boot from Kane thwarted Punk’s plan. As the battle waged on, The Big Red Monster went on the offensive. But interrupting his moment was AJ, who came skipping to ringside. Capitalizing on the distraction, The Second City Saint blasted Kane with the GTS to eliminate him. But Bryan quickly swooped in with a kick to Punk’s head to seize the victory.
After the match, Vickie announced a No. 1 Contender’s Contract-on-a-Pole Match for later in the night between Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler, with the winner facing World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus for his title this Friday on SmackDown.
AJ addressed her feelings for WWE Champion CM Punk, Kane and Daniel Bryan

Later, after coming to ringside during the night’s 3-Way Elimination Match, she got an earful from Kane, who said it would be best if they stayed away from each other. Later, she apologized to Punk for what happened in his match and addressed their future. (WATCH)

Mick Foley’s first match as the interim GM turned out to be a spectacular – and bizarre – one.(PHOTOS | VIDEO)
Kane and Daniel Bryan let out their frustrations on WWE Champion CM Punk after winding up on the losing end of a Triple Threat Match at No Way Out. Bryan repeatedly whipped Sheamus’ midsection with some vicious kicks and The Big Red Monster dished out some punishment of his own. However, the resilient Celtic Warrior hung tough and was able to make the tag when he needed to most. The Straight Edge Superstar laid into Bryan with a brutal running knee at the turnbuckle and followed with a running bulldog, but the submission specialist powered back with a big superplex.
Then, totally out of nowhere, AJ made a jaw-dropping entrance, skipping out to the ring in a Kane mask and matching outfit. After continuing to skip around the ring, AJ made her way back up the entrance ramp, leaving Kane bewildered by her creepy cameo. As The Devil’s Favorite Demon wandered off distracted, Punk capitalized with a Go to Sleep and Sheamus nailed Bryan with a crushing Brogue Kick to get the victory.

Afterward, John Laurinaitis declared Daniel Bryan & Kane would face Punk & AJ later in the night. (PHOTOS)
