WWE Superstar and Chicago native CM Punk added another tattoo to his collection Tuesday at Family Tattoo in Roscoe Village. “I did a tattoo of a dead fish on the back of his (left) shoulder,” said tattoo artist Matt Wes. “It was a friendship tattoo he got with Natalie Slater of bakeanddestroy.net. There’s a story behind the tattoo that means something to their friendship.”

WWE Champion John Cena def. Christian by Disqualification; Alberto Del Rio attacked The Champ (WATCH)
A lot of things have happened inside the callous confines of Hell in a Cell, but the WWE Universe has neverwitnessed a Triple Threat Match waged inside The Devil’s Playground. Despite the horrors that surely await him, WWE Champion John Cena had an air of confidence about him as he addressed the WWE Universe about his collision with Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk just six days later.

Cena locked up with Christian in a non-title showdown, but it was the verbal sparring between The Mexican Aristocrat and The Second City Savior on commentary that really enthralled our fans watching the action from home. The ringside confrontation got physical when Cena threw Christian over the announce table and into Punk. As Punk and Cena stared each other down, Del Rio assaulted The Straight Edge Superstar, then attacked Cena with an enziguri that resulted in Christian’s disqualification. Will Del Rio’s destiny be reclaimed at Hell in a Cell?

Steve Austin: I’d pick CM Punk for my final match
Published on September 26th, 2011 by DJ, Filed in General News, Comments Off

Stone Cold retired due to injury in 2003 after battling The Rock at WrestleMania XIX but has since built a successful career as a movie star.

His latest release, Born To Fight, is out on DVD next week and the grappling legend reckons his current Twitter banter with Punk could turn into a full-blown scrap at WWE’s showpiece pay-per-view event.

Austin, who was the face of the WWE’s revamped Tough Enough series, told SunSport: “I think Punk is a great guy.

“I’d say he looks up to me for what I did in the ring back in the day — and I look up to him for what he is doing now. I’d say it’s a case of mutual respect.

“I hear the stories and if the stars aligned and all things worked out to benefit us all — the WWE, myself and Punk — I’d say that he is the guy I’d pick to face.

“I’m sure I could get another match out of this carcass of mine.”

WWE.Com: Punk’s shirt screams for ice cream!
Published on September 22nd, 2011 by DJ, Filed in General News, Comment? (7)

CM Punk might be finding himself embroiled in some of the most brutal battles in recent WWE history – including the first-ever Triple Threat Hell in a Cell Match for the WWE Championship in two weeks  – but that doesn’t mean The “Voice of the Voiceless” has lost his appreciation for the simpler things in life. On the same night he clashed with WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H in a No Disqualification Match, The Straight Edge Savior debuted a new shirt that symbolizes his love for Good Humor’s defunct line of WWE ice cream bars, featuring one of the long-gone frozen treats stamped with his iconic tattooed likeness. Over the course of his 10 reigns as WWE Champion, John Cena has come to learn many of the hardships that come with holding that coveted title, but The Champ has never dealt with anything quite like this. For the first time in the brutal history of the Hell in a Cell Match, three Superstars will enter the unforgiving steel structure for a dangerous Triple Threat bout — and Cena’s WWE Championship will be on the line.

Two weeks after defeating Alberto Del Rio to win the title at Night of Champions (PHOTOS), Cena will once again lock up with the underhanded Mexican Aristocrat, but this time the controversial CM Punk will be a part of the mayhem. Continue reading »

Triple H announced WWE Champion John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk in a Triple Threat Hell in a Cell Match, promised to fire someone (WATCH)
Triple H was steamed. Less than 24 hours earlier, at Night of Champions, WWE’s Chief Operating Officer competed against CM Punk. Although he prevailed in the bout and retained his position as COO, The Game was nonetheless furious about how it all went down. Not only did The Miz & R-Truth attempt to interfere in the bout, an already terminated Kevin Nash marched through the crowd and amubushed both men. Continue reading »
