At first, it appeared Undertaker had dethroned World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk by using Hell’s Gate to make him submit. However, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long emerged to instruct referee Scott Armstrong to restart the match, calling the hold illegal.
Once the action resumed, Punk locked The Deadman in the Anaconda Vise. Although The Phenom clearly did not tap out of the hold, Armstrong quickly called for the bell, signaling Undertaker had indeed submitted.
The decision stunned not only Undertaker, but the entire WWE Universe. It took five days to find out any answers.
The following Friday on SmackDown, Long admitted to a pre-planned conspiracy involving himself, Armstrong and Punk to prevent Undertaker from winning the match.
It wasn’t until the Sept. 25 edition of SmackDown that Long was heard from again – when he was found to be bound and gagged in a coffin! After being untied by CM Punk, Long revealed that Punk would face Undertaker and Hell in a Cell – and Hell’s Gate is now legal. And in a match that same night, Punk found a way to escape The Deadman’s wrath by defeating him by count-out.
But with nowhere to hide within the confines of their Hell in a Cell Match, can Punk find a way to fend off Undertaker and retain his gold? Or, will The Deadman inflict hellish torment and take what he believes he already rightfully earned?

Have seen it, just a tad disappointing and like the others I miss the reason as to why that was inserted as Undertakers promo footage. I wonder what he thought when he entered the ring with the other wrestlers and that footage got shown? Bizarre
well having finally seen it I dont really know what to make of it. The show was really fun and light and happy and then thats tossed into the mix! Part of me was thinking it was a misfile. My wife Tanya was pissed off at seeing that woman lying there out cold in the centre of the ring. The close up looked like she was having some sort of convulsion with the rapid-eye-movement.It didnt look nice thats for sure.

Did you actually watch the match? What I saw was a young wrestler doing what he was told to do – lay down to an old wrestler who continues to embarass himself, the WWE, CM Punk and all of the fans except fools like who are still thinking its 1991. Get with it dude, it was the worst pro-wrestling match iv ever seen and people should be fired and let go for allowing it to ever have happened. And Undertaker should publically apologize to the WWE Universe and retire immediately. And if you seriously think otherwise you should read the pro-wrestling reviews of the ppv… you wont find a good review… I would be the first to congrat Taker and his fans but I cannot in good conscience…

What happened to Jeff Hardy is Jeff Hardy’s own fault. That concerns Jeff Hardy and the Police and now Lawyers and has nothing to do with CM Punk. Jeff Hardy got busted for drugs! And a lot of different types of drugs! Tell me Im wrong?

A note on the apparent true reasons why the Undertaker is now World Heavyweight Champion! As being reported in credible online wrestling journals, CM Punk had his Title removed from him last night at Hell in a cell because of an incident that occurred recently on a Euro tour, ofcourse involving Undertaker. Undertaker complained that CM Punk’s ‘dress-code’ outside of the ring was innapropriate for a World Champion! And Punk apparently said along the lines “???, then what about John Cena?” , inferring presumably that its if alright for Cena to dress in cut-off jeans and a t-shirt then why not him. It got back to management (somehow???) and the fact that Punk apparently used Cena’s casual dress style to justify his own casual dress code got him the loss of his World Title.
All I can say on this is that there are major problems in WWE if this is true. That a young wrestler /CM Punk who dresses like the kids of his own generation loses his title when another wrestler does the same is a double standard and quite frankly says even less on how Undertaker gets his world titles. This, again, if true is quite outrageous.

This gets worse by the day… and I just read externally on various wrestling and bodybuilding forums that folks are asking the same thing. How did a private conversation between Punk and the Undertaker get back to management? Punk wouldnt have said anything, so that leaves the Undertaker… who benefitted from ratting out this conversation? The Undertaker got a World Title he didnt deserve last night so he clearly benefitted from the tale-telling. And as folks have been saying elsewhere, who is Taker to talk about dress standards, he’s been dressing like a scrub for years… hypocricy and skuldugery of the lowest order…
The last few weeks have been an eye-opener to do with the undertaker, seeing him drop that chic on her head, winning a world title by stealth rather than talent and him possibly dogging on Punk for a sneaky advantage. I have never liked Undertaker. When I was 11, and I first watched his enterance, I had to cover my head with a pillow. But it’s boring now and I am no longer freaked out about his ‘mysterious powers’.
I just wish that CM Punk whould just walk out in the middle of Takers entrance and beat the shit outta him with a steel chair.

CM Punk is a good wrestler (hot, as well) but I don’t like that he’s so full of himself. He thinks he’s better than everyone and it’s getting really annoying. Everybody likes Jeff Hardy (when he was still in Smackdown) because he was cool and wasn’t selfish, conceited or didn’t think he was better than anyone else. If CM punk had more of that personality, he’d be well liked, since he is a very good wrestler. He does cheat a lot, though :/ oh well, we’ll see what happens.

But I will also admit that CM punk makes Smackdown worth watching. He does have some bad qualities but I don’t know, I guess there’s something about him that would make you just turn Smackdown off and never watch it again if he left WWE for good. Also, he’s different from the other wrestlers. They’re all cocky and arrogant, whereas Punk may also be the showy type but he’s certainly not afraid or ashamed to be himself and be different. He’s not afraid to stick up for what he believes in and that allows so many of us to just.. have to admire him. Because of that and his awesome wrestling, CM Punk is a HUGE part of what builds WWE and makes it all the more worthwhile.
