Punk really had Cena here, I though that Punk was going to win! It really pisses me off, every match Cena is in, he wins, or that’s how it feels like. I don’t get it, you can watch a minute of a Cena match and you’ve seen it all…. WWE is pushing him waaaaaaaaaaaay to much, that’s why everyone loves him, he’s “babyface”, which means we “have” to like him…
Let me say right here, right now – THAT WAS FUCKING MAGNIFICENT !!! OH YEAH ! What a match. Man, Im in shock at how perfect that was to watch. Jerry Lawler was right, oh man, so good, so sweet. Thank you WWE. Yes our guy didnt win, but that was Cena’s finest match ever, his finest hour and a taste of what could be, dwarfed his regarded famed match against Shawn Michaels, quashed Orton/Cena’s whole feud into second place. HOW GOOD IS CM PUNK! SEE WWE! This is how good CM Punk can be for guys like John Cena. Cena needs this, Punk needs this. WWE needs this! You cant afford to waste CM Punks genius. For the first time since fucking Jeff Hardy, I was on my feet and Punk’s antics as well as his moves were perfectly timed and looked lethal and he made Cena look awesome. CM Punk was on fire. And the strength of CM Punk to lift Cena was incredible. Will Cena ever be able to perform such a radical ‘attitude adjustment’ like he did with Punk with anyone else, I think not. A 10 OUTTA 10 MATCH. MORE, MORE, MORE! This is the future WWE, c’mon dont stop there…
Whatever WWE needs to do to get this developed into a feud, it has to happen, the chemistry between these two guys was out of this world and too good to walk away from. As long as Punk gets a bite at the victory cherry in somewhat balance with Cena within that feud like Orton did with Cena, then Im all for a full blown battle. Congratulations to both gents for some pure dream wrestling!
Praise Jesus, Buddha and Mohammed, wrestling has returned to the WWE. I looked at Cena in a whole new light. CM punk is the best wrestler in the world and that proved it. Punk didnt win but it looked real, it looked hardcore. Me too, I want some more. Happy days are here again.

I dont think wrestling can get any better than that. Amazing match, couldve gone either way, a perfect match up. I agree with Punknut, this should be the future, cmon wwe, dont throw this magic away, BRING IT ON. Punk went to Raw, next bring Cena to Smackdown, then Punk back to Raw, then Cena again to Smackdown etc , this could work and it would be original. Think outside the box, this is good for everyone!
Finally a match we been waiting like forever for and it delivered bigtime. After months of gutless episodes from Raw and Smackdown with little to no heart the wwe surprises everyone with a monster hit of the best kind. CM PUNK v JOHN CENA and it was all killer no filler. Ventura, you are the man, thank God somebody’s got a brain in their head. Reveal the feud and lets get down to what we like best – WAR !
AWESOME! Just fucking awesome! Punknut, you forgot the ‘all hails’ man! I think this is an ‘all hail’ moment, sure Punk didnt win but it was a victory for wrestling and wrestling fans everywhere and Punk and Cena were electric. ALL-HAIL JOHN CENA AND CM PUNK!
Best match for 2009, no-doubt, maybe the best match of recent years, definately one of the greatest matches ever.
If this was a test match to guage how Punk’s people would react, I think even early in you have your answer.

To WWE, just a note while im in a good mood. Now you WWE’s know we aint scared to tear you and yours a new one when you fuck things up(and you been fucking things up a lot lately) (and fucking with Punk just a little too much for us to accept in fairness), and we aint stupid, but we can congratulate and give dues when its warranted. And you or Jesse gave the fans something amazing and im grateful and thankful, so thanks. But if this is gonna become a feud, keep it real which means a victory once in a while for CM Punk, cause he deserves and earns his victories with his freakish skills and hard work. One of the best matches ive ever seen. As a beginner in wrestling, I watched that with my tag buddy and we wondered what it takes to get that good to be able to execute those types of moves without ending up in the ER or the morgue. That was something else. Is CM Punk human? No pain killers? Just watching that my body was hurting.
RADICAL and UNFORGIVING, what the greatest matches are all about. This was the new standard for elite wrestling. Jesse Ventura, I dont even live in your zip code brother, but come election time, Im riding my hog through 3 states to vote for you, yeah its illegal, yeah its stupid, but after this YOU DESERVE MY VOTE!

WOW, that was unbelievable. John Cena actually wrestling!, then I saw CM Punk and it all made sense. BIG APPLAUSE to both men, a wrestling match for the ages, almost a work of art it was so kickass. ALL_HAIL PUNK n’CENA!
All I can add now is John Cena vs Sheamus = how boring and pointless! After that Punk/Cena match everything else paled and will for some time.

Mind blowing match. If ever there was any criticism of CM Punk at the hands of the older establishment there should be immediate forgiveness after that match and a ceasing of any perceived punishment for ?. He has given the WWE the greatest boost to its flagging credibility. Vince McMahon, this kid’s your saviour and he will give John Cena exactly what Cena needs and doesnt have, authentic grass roots appeal. Now we know that is true because of Jesse Ventura’s off scripted(presumably!) remarks about Cena at the dubious and stupid signing of Sheamus, where he referenced along the lines of Cena’s easy ride and movie star good-looks etc and Cena’s adam’s apple moved in anxious tension at what next Ventura might of said, Cena looked caught out, he knows the criticisms. And thats Cena’s problem, people dont believe in him(over the age of 5), but Punk changed that momentarily and he would fix all Cena’s credibility problems with a well planned and fair feud. Seriously WWE, you should think about all the good that can come of this. You’d be crazy not to go there, my opinion.
Well-done CM Punk, you never cease to amaze me with your abilities and tireless hunger to be the very best and to help your opponents push themselves to their limits. One of the best matchs ever. Hopefully the WWE will get off your back and restore you to the glories you so deserve.
Astounding, a flawless display. Credit to CM Punk for his astounding skills and passion for his craft. Big praise for Cena, the first Cena match Ive watched in over 8 years of Cena being around, where I was genuinely on the edge of my seat. And a congratulations to WWE personnel who placed only one add early in the match, allowing the momentum of the match to build beautifully. Thank-you. It goes without saying that this should be developed into a battle, its something that WWE and the WWE Universe desperately needs. I too am hoping this signals the end of all the trashing and perceived abuse of CM Punk. It has been particularly distasteful and this weeks match proved that Punk is the jewel in WWE’s crown.

I couldnt believe I was watching John Cena! CM Punk changes the reality and the intensity of anything he puts his midas touch to. He turns everything on its head to make a wrestling match an event. All the years of Cena and that match yesterday looked like he’d just arrived. CM Punk is the greatest wrestler in the world and Id put my house on that! GODAMN SMOKIN’ ! Bring the feud and bring it NOW!
There were many reasons why this match succeeded. Passion, power, extreme skill and ability, speed, strength, preperation, attention to detail and respect of John Cena for CM Punk and vise-versa which was evident throughout this marvelous match. That and a massive reduction in the heel coward stuff which has never been well-suited to CM Punk, his outrageous skills outweigh any possibility of that being true. Us fans cringe when we see that because it just is not his character plain and simple. Heel yes unfortunately, but coward NEVER! Now, THE (possible) FEUD! I only have this to say. Please dont ordain cheating or sneaky wins for CM Punk because its unrealistic and unnecessary, we want clean wins for BOTH men, anything less is robbery and disatisfaction and things around here turn less friendly. Imagine if the Undertaker had not have rested on his laurels and prepared fully for the matches with CM Punk!. Undertaker, rightly or wrongly never looked present for CM Punk. Punk gives his opposition vast rewards IF that opposition puts in the work. And Punks many eloquent and vocal fans will give you the cold hard truth, but thats no secret now, is it? Compliments to Vince and all the people at WWE on arguably your greatest match for many years.
I felt very emotional for CM Punk after watching this match on Raw. And it was not because he didnt win the match, that was irrelevant, but it was in happiness for him. I, like a few others who visit this place have sensed things have been not been good for him since the Undertaker matches and I think Punk got to prove some stuff to a lot of people who should not judge him or malign him or blame him for the Undertakers failings. The Raw match was the best match ive ever seen, im only in my 20′s but it will be a match i’ll always remember. Big cheers for John Cena and especially CMPunk. God bless you sweetheart.
Mammoth match.
A lot of credit goes to John Cena in taking a risk here. Punk had stuff to prove to his employers, we all feel that, but Cena took the risk, it was brave. I think now the WWE recognizes that Punks fans are a cut-throat bunch, we mean no harm but we take no shit, nor prisoners. So a big thank you to John Cena for being a champ and giving our guy an opportunity to again show the world just how amazing he is. And John Cena, for true wrestling fans, on Monday night stood up and got noticed. Thats no disrespect to John, but certainly a massive compliment. Lets hope John Cena wants more like we all do. PS I love this place, so cool !
PPS a shout out to R-Truth who quietly shone on Raw with some considerable, if unrecognized work. A girl’s advice {and former image consultant}, grow your hair longer and stop smiling so much R-, you lessen your appeal. Someone needs to rework your tune and get rid of the white shirt, wear black its better for you, dye the existing cut off if you must.

What can one say but fukin’ brilliant. Watched the re-run to be sure I wasnt hallucinating when I saw John Cena in the ring with the almighty CM Punk. Fukin’ brilliant. One of the great matches.
Another point my friends, whats with the Irish idiot Sheamus. Even the Irish in Ireland have more colour in their skin than him. Im Irish and im in Ireland and im twice a shade of pink than he is LOL. Cena, what are you wasting you time on him for, you want CM PUNK, you want the best, not the rest! Cut that useless feud short WWE and get back to what the people the world over want, JOHN CENA versus CM PUNK for a fair and balanced battle of magestic proportions of the like the WWE Universe has never seen. Ohhhgggghhh! Now there’s something Vince could get worked up about.

An out there match, Cena was born again on monday night. Cm punk is on another plane of consciousness when it comes to wrestling ability. He really is a freak.
Ive never seen a match like that, its got to be ranked amongst the greatest matches of all time. Cena was unforgettable for the first time in his career and CM Punk, well what can you say, he’s incredible. Superlatives almost dont cover how good this wrestler is.
John Cena was phenomenal, CM Punk confounds belief with his feats of skill and ability to relentlessly push the envelope, of himself but also of his opposition.
That match will be celebrated for years to come. Im here at CMPUNK.COM for the first time because of that match, couple of wrecking-balls those 2 guys! Whew!

ALL HAIL PUNK, ALL HAIL CENA and at long last all hail whoever it was at WWE who had the sense to listen to what we’ve been saying for the last god know how long – and actually put Punk in a match worthy of his talent and ability! Best match I’ve seen in years, kind of reminded me of one of the old Hart/Benoit matches, all that fantastically executed moves brilliant! I must admit I was thinking the rumours were true, Punk was going to Raw to feud with Cena and was actually getting excited about ti – but then I read the smackdown spoilers and my hopes were dashed. but for this week WWE got it spot on and for that I thank them!
