At WWE Bragging Rights, new World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker will defend his title in a Fatal-4-Way Match against three former Word Champions: CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and Batista.
The Deadman defeated CM Punk inside The Devil’s Playground at Hell in a Cell to win his seventh World Title. Five days later, The Straightedge Superstar stormed his way into Friday night, demanding that SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long give him his mandatory rematch on his terms. But before the issue could be resolved, Mr. McMahon emerged to “help” Long make “his” monumental announcement – the former Straightedge Champion’s rematch would be a Fatal-4-Way at WWE Bragging Rights, and it would also include The Master of the 619 and The Animal.
Despite losing the title to The Demon from Death Valley, Punk’s aggressive performance at Hell in a Cell will stay etched in the minds of the WWE Universe forever. Hey Julie, Chez, guy/gals – well as for the WWE feedback thing – c’mon, that is sooooooo passe WWE. Dont pretend that HIAC Punk/Taker was anything other than a pile of fucking dogshit! All the little kiddies will say it was fantastic yet none of them paid to see it, nor actually saw it, again pure propaganda BS. Focus on fixing the future stuff rather than trying to re-package and re-gloss past disasters! That REALLY fucks me off… and is a perfect example of a true waste of time and resources! Here you have 2 genuine wrestling kings who know how to deliver and what happens – you fucking insult those 2 guys and the audience by spending half of their fight time with the cameras on that idiot miz and his pointless mouth… and advertising. The natural heat and potential excitement of that match was killed, completely snuffed out! Who is running the show – are they actually into wrestling??? In my previous comment on the other page I mention an old match ECW Punk vs Morrison – watch it, LEARN! This is how you win the audience – look at the crowds reaction, they are genuinely excited and on the edge of their seats, they are cheering like crazy people – you are not getting this reaction at smackdown crowds, nor RAW, none of the wrestling shows at present, cause youve focussed on the wrong stuff. Anyways enough of my rant… its not rocket-science!
Man, that is so true. Crowds raise their hands at the end of the match and not much inbetween. Those old ECW matches the fans were rocking and held captive by the intensity of the battle. We aint seeing much of that at present, exception being CM Punk. Perhaps thats the reason we love him, cause he’s still hard-working and focussed on the actual wrestling rather than all the fake hype.

On the money boy, you R on the money! Genuine thrills in wrestling are few and far between. And thats why a lot of the wrestling matches are hell lame and all over the shop lazy. No focus upon the wrestling stuff, too busy trying to remember their lines and look cool. This is why Punk stands out, he doesnt give too much attention to image but works hard on the match preperation, his fitness, the details etc. I love Vince, he is a realdeal superman, but he has big problems with his shows and its simply resolved by reeling in all the shit that revolves around the wrestling ring and getting back to creating interest with what happens inside that ring. Now you got me on a rant my man! I heard Punk isnt even in this weeks SD???

Hi Punknut and Metaliacafan – guys anothr thing ive noticed is that the entrance of the wrestler has almost taken precedence over their ring performance and wrestling skills. Its cool to have a good entrance and all that shit, but its becoming all too commonplace that the match that follows is way forgettable. I totally agree that there is too much attention given to the out of ring stuff and not enough on match detail. And Im with you in saying its frustrating, sometimes I just wanna give it away. CM Punk is the sole reason for me watching and WWE can take that as money in the bank!

I also do wonder about whether the ppl who manage and produce and document the shows actually know a damn thing or are even interested in fighting in any variety, bcoz the “only” bright moment of all the PUNK/Undertaker stuff so far was a freaky-radical super-high kick by Punk onto the face of Taker who was perched up on the top rope which NOBODY in the digital dept captured. And Im sick of being polite about it – shame on you! There was an amazing pic and poster right there and something rare in the world of wrestling…i mean that kick was from the Gods of fighting, but NNNNOOOOOO!, did any one capture it,ofcourse not, no-one at WWE are actually fight fans, why the fuck would they! Not got SD here in the uk for another 7 hours so casn’t coment on that. but the superstars match was really shit, what a missed opportunity! to Sun Tzu I think there will be no pictures of the kick, because it wont fit in with the WWE Family friendly image that’s going on now, just like there’s no blood. What a joke! but having a pg rating opens up a whole new world of possibilites in advertising for WWE, and lets face it people, its always been about making money and not promoting good talent hasn’t it.

It most certainly seems that we are witnessing the death of a great sport at the hands of television executives and do-gooders who seemingly know very little about the sport they are working in. It seems that all empires crumble from the inside out and stunningly the people within seem not to notice till its over and too late to prevent. I wasnt even going to comment on the superstars Punk Morrison matchup because it was so apalling and almost unwatchable. I really dont know what else to say. It wasnt even fun or entertaining, just ruined by external interferance. I felt pained for CM Punk and Morrison that their efforts were, volgarity seemes appropriate at this junctia – pissed all over – by somebody who has an arrogant disregard or ignorance about wrestling or how to deliver it to fans. That was off the charts in wretchedness.

To the clown – We love this sport asshole and we respect the hardwork that the wrestlers put in week in and week out. You did not read what any of us had written its obvious. We want respect for the wrestlers by a reduction in what is clearly ruining the intensity and enjoyment of the sport at the hands of some who we believe are concentrating on the wrong side of the industry… and as fans this is all we can do, we dont work for the WWE. What is given is good passionate feedback and if someone actually put it into practise the fans would be electrified again as we used to be… Fans have a right to be excited and pissed off at what occurs in their fave sport. Are you into sports chump! This is normal stuff for most sports around the world… no-one was dissing the wrestlers, quite the opposite asshole, we want their work to be the focus and not the PR BS.
I watched the superstars match and it was wrecked by all the Miz banter. The criticism is fair. I wanted to concentrate on the match but it was not possible. I didnt see the end I turned over so I dont even know who won the match. Let that say something;

From a girls perspective. Lets put it this way, two super gorgeous semi naked men wrestling like theres no tomorrow and the camera is mostly on the ugliest most obnoxious b-side wrestler in wwe! Think about it. Id call that ratings suicide.
When it comes to commentary I want to see and hear only the professionals like Jim Ross, Tazz and Jerry Lawler. Sideshow alley stuff is the watergate of good commentary. If JR was there he may indeed be horrified and perhaps (hopefully) would have said “someones verticality needs re-alignment”

I think we have already discussed a week back or so about the right to speak our minds and the truth as we see and feel it. If we didnt there would be no fans, just robots sitting in seats at half empty arenas and empty or dull forum pages! There seems to be a tendency to control the audience, like numb them into brainlessness. I dont get that! If you look at soccer fans in Europe these people make their sport, they are so fucking wired, its their life, part of their identity! Thats why soccer is called the World Game, because their fans are so passionate and that euphoria has spread across the world and sets the world on fire every four years at the world cup. And to me thats damn cool! Wrestling fans look like we’v all been stuck in office cubicles for way too long. Bring back the excitment to wrestling WWE, you will get plenty of joy from us when you start delivering great matches. Test the theory! On a future Smackdown, have a 25/ 30 minute match with two of your best wrestlers, re-do Punk v Morrison, let those guys script for themselves and design the match and the setup, give them creative control over what happens inside the ring, (flip a coin for who wins!), have no outside interference, provide good commentary, keep advert breaks to a bare minimal during the main event and watch the crowd go off! Because they will! Its a simple formula, you cant fuck it up if you stick to it! To quote punknut, poor guy gets quoted a lot but hes right – let them boys off the leash! And let the cameras capture it!
