It wasnt the best way to go about promoting Jeff Hardy. It would have been better just to say nothing about it and have him return to wrestle someone other than Punk. And just on his return put out the disc. Unfortunately they do keep advertisiing Jeff Hardy’s connection to drugs and are only bringing drug-related issues closer to childrens consciousness.
But CM Punk was admirable and exceptional in his role, as always. Your amazing CM Punk. This stuff must be turning your stomach.
On the upside, WWE did give the ‘moral’ victory (well of sorts) to CM Punk and Luke Gallows in giving them the match win, which said to me that a drug-free existence makes your stronger than your compromised drug-friendly opponents. That was also a clear message. I dont know whether it still looks like WWE is condoning Jeff’s history and behaviour or whether they are trying to educate in some perverse way and simultaneously advertise a DVD as well?
It was an awesome show on the whole and CM Punk was outstanding. He looked like, after that match (see pics above left) that he didnt know whether to laugh or cry over all of this craziness, probably both. But one couldnt take ones eyes of him. He truly is an electric performer. He is Vince McMahon’s jewel in the crown whether Vince knows it or not.
You are right John C, there were 4 guys in that ring, 5 if you count the invisible presence of Jeff Hardy {or was that just the lingering smell of ‘incense’ wafting over the crowd making them believe Jeff was about to fly in!?} but indeed CM PUNK was the only guy you notice, such is his abilities. It was an excellent episode of Smackdown, the quality was very high overall. It will be interesting to read what Mr Punknut has to say on all the chaos and eventfullness of this weeks Smackdown!

Well these are the days of corporate greed. And any kind of publicity is good publicity if it sells something. Who cares about impressionable children, as long as money is being made, right!
When I heard this weeks Smackdown was a tribute show to Jeff Hardy, I hit the lounge, started drinking everything I could pour down my throat, popping every pill I could find in the house and fornicated in the ad-breaks with an imaginary girl who looked a lot like Jenna Jameson, it was the best episode of Smackdown ever, and Jeff’s match was amazing. He won the Intercontinental title, the Heavyweight title, the WWE title and an award for ‘best makeup in a tragedy or comedy category’. Next week I’ll be doing it all again at Vince’s house. Cant wait!

And I loved this weeks Smackdown, one of the best shows ever,was cool from start to end. CM Punk is the most radical heel/hero in the wrestling world today. Gallows is a good Robin to Punks ‘Dark Knight’.

My question is this. Why is Punk not at TLC? I dont give a darn bout the drug issues or whether Jeff Hardy is a dope fiend or a secret transexual or even an alien etc, I just want my fave wrestler CmPunk at TLC and WWE needs to explain why he is not appearing. I think us fans deserve to know why and it should be posted here at Punk’s crib. Whats the big godamn deal ,Im sick of the secrets and lies and rumors that exist around CM PUNK.
And if Punk is going to make an appearance I think at least here at his own site his fans should be notified as to his appearance so we can order TLC. I think we deserve that!

WOW, every1 got a jump on me this week, awesome comments and hell funny2 folks LOL! Enigmamadness666, brilliant LOL!
First up, the Jeff Hardy DVD issue. CM PUNK – wrestling genius or super salesman? Hell, probably both. LOL! Honestly the sales pitch was shameless from the WWE and there will always be folks like jawbreaker who are hardcore against any drug-references in a PG show where kids are taking all this subliminal stuff in, but it was a pretty balanced 3 way deal (well sort of???) if you can get your head around it all! Punk got his best promo ever, a righteous and justified victory, Jeff got an income and WWE continues to get richer and richer off everyone elses work, pain and suffering! Whoever wrote Punk’s script for his mic work this week deserves congrats, his coolest lines ever “its a banner year at drug addicts houses” / “your child will suddenly think he can fly” / “you might as well be peddling drugs!” and perfectly delivered! He is a true superstar and totally unique. I never cease to be rocked by what CM Punk does. Certainly WWE wasnt shy in going forward with their agenda this week. CM Punk/Gallows/Truth/Matt Hardy delivered a powerhouse tag match, one of the best this year, really exciting to watch, all 4 men were gr8 and Gallows gets better each week. Was a deserved win considering what Punk was made to do for Jeff’s and the WWE’s benefit. Thats a big ask what WWE got Punk to do this week and Punk delivered, as he does every week. So why is he not at TLC? Dropped for what reason?

John Morrison coming out as Mel Gibson/WilliamWallace/Braveheart- was a gr8 impersonation, I reckon Mel woulda loved it, but the funniest moment was when John opened his own brow up with that old sword and blood was pooling over his eyebrow… and Drew was noticably trying not to laugh, was a gr8 segment, hell funny LOL!. Congrats to both guys for the funniest segment this year. And congrats to the prop supervisor who thought in his wisdom that a wrestler could handle a real sword. LOL! Plastic chairs, plastic stairs and plastic ring posts and they give these guys a real sword! Hilarious! LOL! Gr8 fun.
Smackdown this week was for me, probably the best show I can remember seeing. Every match was tight and delivered with intensity. Every match was of Main Event standard. It was a 10 outta 10 show.
haha lol top review punknut, yeah Morrison was killing me with that performance and when he sliced himself accidently, that was funny, but he and Drew were pro’s and covered well, but they must of belly laughed when they went backstage

hi everyone, u lot were right, best SD for a while. Loved Punk’s work as ever, really funny mic work, the match was good, nice to see some wrestling on SD for a change
. Was good to see Gallows actually get a match, him interfering was starting to get a bit tedious to me. Loved it when he rubbed Punk’s head better after the mic shot from R-Truth, awww bless ! that was so funny!.
As for the shameless plugging of the DVD, I’m not sure about this. I understand that wwe are gonna go bih on it, cos after all it makes them money! but plugging it two consecutive weeks in a PG rated show, I don’t know, the parent in me is saying it needs to stop! Punk did a great job slated the Hardy lifestyle though, lets hope the kids latch onto Punk and not Jeff Hardy’s ethics.

Yes ScottishA I saw it. Didn’t know what it meant though….I googled Adam – as I have never heard about him- me being in Europe….so that Adam Lambart is from the American Idol search and he is gay actually and there is a resemblance but not that much I think. Now I wonder whether they meant the resemblance to Lambart or the gay thingie because of Festus touching Punk all the time…..lmao I think CM Punk actually looks more and more like Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters- not that Dave actually can compare- ha ha gotta love Dave….:) I have a question for you guys. Does Punk have Irish ancestors? He has an Irish streak, say what you want, he looks so Irish to me with his green eyes and black hair. A tremendous show, thank God! I found myself holding back on making the cup of coffee not wanting to miss anything. Was good from the outset. Morrison and McIntire were both exceptional and very funny in their part of the show. Morrison with sword – way too dangerous – to himself! lol

The other people I watch wwe with aren’t punk fans … At all .. And were laughing at punks efforts to stop matt from handing out the DVDs it was so upsetting but I thought it was so cute and I was so happy punk and gallows won .In your face r thruth … Gosh I hate that rapping idiot!
