I am so disgusted in this weeks SD I can’t even think of words to express it!! In fact I was that unimpressed after Punk’s bit I switched over to TNA that now shows in the uk at the same time and Raven still can kiss ass!!

I know a lot of folks are disgusted by this episode I can tell by the lack of comments thus far, part of me was sickened also by what WWE made Punk do this week, BUT, he took it like a man and gave no impression that it was anything less than part of the show. Politics and degradings aside, congrats go out to Punk and Truth for breaking through with their segment into main event level status without their stuff being main event, both guys successfully overshadowed everything else. Its kinda all you remember of this episode three days later. The crowd was right into it as no-doubt many were at home watching, horrified but captivated… it had to happen sooner or later and hopefully thats as low as WWE will kick CM Punk…

That aside, it was close to the perfect episode of Smackdown, Punk and Truth were the icing on the cake, albeit it a poisonous and bitter cake to swallow, but every match was exciting and delivered good wrestling. Matt Hardy looks like he is finally getting that stomach flat and looked a lot fitter… and the Undertaker/Cane v Jericho/Show was one of the best tag matches Ive seen in a while. Mickie James gets the big gold star though, with the ‘victory to tears in 8 seconds’ routine. She’s a real cutie that chic and her victory move was killer.

Its no surprise others outside this place are now questioning whether CM Punk has been demoted over the last few weeks, Ive stated it a few times, hell you’d be blind if you didnt think so, but its now being asked by wrestling journals ie … http://www.twnpnews.com under the heading ‘Has CM Punk been demoted?’ Apparently WWE says ‘No’ but that they are using Punk to lift Truth to main event status. I agree Punk has made Truth a whole lot better, but if WWE was serious bout Truth they’d get him a new song, though they did use the suggestion to cut the rap which was a massive improvement for Truth’s entrance this week. Proof’s in the pudding WWE! I still think Punk is being punished however,its so obvious to us fans, yes we must all be deranged to think that hey WWE! Well im thinking it… what more humiliation awaits CM Punk?

Like a fellow comment-maker here, Bill Flanett, I cant watch this kind of rubbish. CM Punk deserves better treatment. WWE you are scum… and thank you for making the kids think that a clean and healthy lifestyle is a bad thing. You promoted drugs, cigerettes and alcohol to a whole generation of children by doing that to CM Punk. You all should hang your heads in shame.

Abhorrent and disgusting. I knew what was coming as soon as this segment began and before my children got to see it, we changed channels. I watched the rerun later alone and was totally disappointed. Vince Mcmahon, I thought you were a family man, you may as well be running a liqeur-barn or a brothel, with what filth was on my television screen. PG my ass. I particularly enjoyed the shots of little kids booing and doing the thumbsdown to Punk as he went through educating about the dangers of drugs, alcohol and cigerettes. What kind of message are you sending to our children? You are a pack of degraded low-lifes.

I did NOT let my 8 year old son watch this show. Thank God and to a friend who told me about it prior. Boo 2 WWE.

Uh man that was tough. Can you imagine, Punk walking to the showers backstage after their part, covered in alcohol and cigerettes. That was the real humiliation I think right there. Hes one tough character, with skin like a rhino. Paddy fan is right I expect the humiliation to continue at Survivor.

Punks segment was called “how to survive” and it looked a whole lot like Punk trying to survive within WWE, things dont look good there. CM punk is the best wrestler Ive seen in years and to witness all of this is shocking. I hate the WWE, I really do, they are just the ass of sports right now. I really hope Hulk Hogan can turn TNA into something bigger and better, cause Im over Smackdown and Raw and anything owned by the McMahons. Where is their integrity? Its all so fucking ugly.

well Punknut, it oftern I disagree with you, but i@m not entirely with you on this one!! I get all the character building stuff and yes Punk played his part well as did R-Truth, but what the hell???? I think this Straight edge think is wearing thin. It worked well with Jeff Hardy due to the difference in personalities, but now I think it is just being used to belittle Punk again. Being straight edge is a personal life style choice, and I admire and respect Punk for making that choice. As a parent myself maybe I see things a bit differently too. WWE are making this big think over being PG rated, yet there making a mockery of something like not drinking and smoking. In line with the PG rating, I think they either need to use being straight edge in a possitive way, but I think Punk would have to be a face again and personally prefer him not to be, or otherwise don’t mention the straight edge line at all, because I think this segment was inappropriate and unnecessary. My point of view as an adult watching SD was just, why the fuck are wwe wasting the only talent they have by using this shit.
I have now watched the rest of SD but still not too impressed, thought the Batista/Hardy match was so one-sided it was laughable! ONly problem now is I’m not sure i want to spend £15 on a PPV when I couldn’t even stomach the last episode of SD!

They did NOT show this segment on the German sport channel which normally airs Smackdown on Saturdays (as a parent I say good decision) - only on private tv channel Sky. I’m glad they did not show it. I’m glad I only saw the screen captures. That was enough for me to realize that the people at the WWE have no integrity at all. Humiliation is the word. Why do they play with their employees? What else has Punk to do in the future to abide to the rules of his contract? It’s all about money & record attendance BUT what price will have Punk to pay? Ive had a gut full of the hypocrisy at WWE when it comes to CM punk, why dont they take someone else who has a specific lifestyle, like say Shawn Michaels who’s a devoted Christian and make his lifestyle choice his fucking wrestling gimmick and make him preach his Jesus stuff to the WWE Universe, I give it about 3 weeks and people will be getting irritated by it, and then let the WWE organize for some other wrestlers to beat Shawn with crucifix’s and smash religious statues over him, see how that goes down? Cause thats sort of what they are doing to CM Punk by using his real-life stuff to damage his own reputation, which it is doing now. I and my wife and my kids have had enough of the CM Punk abuse and a lot of people who I know who are into wrestling are saying the same stuff, its enough, the kid has a positive message, ITS TIME TO MAKE IT POSITIVE FOR REAL.

Thats interesting that the segment in question was not shown in Germany, man, Im just tired of the way Punk is getting treated, he’s like a god this guy to true wrestling fans, whoever his enemies are they should get off his case, he’s such an awesome wrestler and from what we can tell a pretty down-to-earth guy. I would prefer it if they would let him move on to something else. This straight edge thing is his personal belief (and from what I have gathered and read about Punky this comes from his childhood) and him mentioning this all the time when entering the arenas is wearing thin/ is getting old. Absolutely, it is everyone’s right to live their own lives as they please. And truthfully, like doggy, or suxx or judas and pretty-much all the folks who have visited this page and commented, none of us really give a shit about the straightedge thing!, but what we all agree on is that it looks like his stuff is being used deliberately against him to harm his career or damage him or humiliate him personally in some way, beyond what other heels seem to have to deal with. I dont see Randy or Jericho or Cane coping this kinda stuff. What doggy said about taking some other wrestlers true life stuff and doing to them what WWE has done to CM Punk, that would never happen, they protect Shawn and HHH and Rock and Chris and Cena and Undertaker and Mysterio but for some reason, maybe money and merchandise sales (ya cant sell straightedge can ya!) Punk is getting kicked and that is wrong, cause he’s a wrestler at a whole level higher that the others and that is not just my bias. Only Shawn can hold a candle to Punks abilities and charisma. You know, the thing that saddens me the most out of all of this is that CM Punk does not have the pedigree like a lot of other wrestlers who are 2nd or 3rd generation wrestlers like Orton or DiBiase/ Legacy lads, nor is he a powerful businessman like Undertaker (apparently Real-Estate), nor is he Mexico’s number1 sports star like Rey is, nor does he have Hollywood studios protecting him etc etc CM Punk is a kid from the streets of Chicago, the school of hard-knocks, a blue-collar guy, its the Rocky story basically, there’s no privelidge in his story, quite the opposite, he’s had a lot of shit to deal with in his life from what I understand and he’s somehow survived and succeeded, and where I come from that is considered twice as gr8. No offence to those other guys mentioned but you get my point. I think perhaps Batista would understand where Punk’s reality is… Its time for a new beginning for CM Punk WWE, something positive, we want him represented in a better light.

I think Punks fans love him more than other wrestlers fans could ever do. We recognize how unique he is. I mean, for fuck sake, he visits sick kids at hospital on his birthday! What is wrong with the wwe?

I am not straightedge in any way, but when I saw that part of last weeks SD, man, I felt real sorry for CM Punk thats a hard thing to push through. You crossed the line WWE and are doing something wrong to one of your biggest stars. He’s the best heel and always someone I look forward to watching on SD, has no-one got this guys back other than his awesome fans, are you all cowards at WWE? They already destroyed Shannon Moore “the reject” image and the ECW brand but CM PUNK is still there. WWE just runs tests to break true fans but his merits are unspoken. I agree on Punknut how hardknox CM PUNK is and its hard being in a position as a wrestler plus Straightedge. Its a world where Straightedgers or other alternative ways are pushed or shoved for being different. CM PUNK is just plain legend and kudos for seeing kids in hospital. PuNk fans from New Zealand!

Well the pain continues people, Im yet to comment but two more losses for Punk with Survivor Series and RAW where Punk lost to Cena. I havent yet seen, but will shortly… well at least Punks keeping busy!

I totally hate that lame shitstain of an excuse that CM dissed Cena and Undertaker over the WWE dressing code and got pissed on and buried , what about JBL’s Nazi salute in Germany (which is thy far more controversial) that led to him winning WWE title , you can just tell how fucking lame and stale WWE’s product has become , even Sheamus’s title win is lame , there was almost no build up and WWE totally fucked up the angle , they are gonna make Sheamus the Kane of 21st century , and the title is simply going to slip back to Superman , whoever is in WWE’s typing room should be taken out on the street and shot!
