Despite World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk once again finding a way to beat The Undertaker, The Phenom will have his chance for revenge against The Straightedge Superstar at Hell in a Cell. And, as per SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, The Deadman’s Hell’s Gate submission hold is now fully legal.
As World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk battled Undertaker in the night’s main event, the thoughts of what transpired at WWE Breaking Point were still fresh in the minds of everyone in the WWE Universe. As both Superstars waged war, the action spilled out onto the arena floor. It looked as if Punk was done for, when The Deadman prepared to slam him onto the announce table. But, The Straightedge Superstar managed to avoid being trounced and pushed Undertaker onto the announce table. As the ref neared the 10-count, Punk slithered back into the ring. The Deadman entered right on Punk’s tail, but it was not quick enough to avoid the ref’s final count of 10.
I thought Mr Mcmahon’s ‘oklahoma’ speach was very funny. But the undertaker was a sad shadow of his old self. CM Punk is so far ahead of the undertaker. Punky deserved to win, Im glad he did but I think its time he won for real and defeated the undertaker as we all know he can, no countouts or disqualifications, no tricks, I want a real victory for CM Punk???
First up a complaint about the Digital Pics above! WHERE’S THE KICK??? It was the ONLY magic moment of the match and there aint a pic of it!!! HELLO, fight fan here, fucking hell… the screen captures get half of it… Someone at Smackdown please get the actual action pics…bit tired of seeing a million pics of Punk with a mic in his hand…
Us asian fans appreciate the martial skills, would have been cool to see a still of the kick, it was radical. maybe someone could add those pics soon, please.
Taker looked all out of steam – for real, not acting. The match was lifeless except for Punk’s endevours to revive it. My wife and I really cant see Taker beating Punk anytime soon. Its all engines firing for CM Punk right now. The age question is certainly a factor and I have to say I agree with the others that the once great Undertaker looks ready for his pension pass.

Punk was the saving grace of smackdown last week, but Raw was worse so I still enjoyed smackdown for whats its worth. The Undertaker;just not happening! What happened to the Undertaker? WWE headhoncho’s its time to promote CM Punk with a full-flight victory. He’s better than a shit-heel win.

Last weeks Smackdown was boring. Since the undertaker came back its been slowing down and I went and cleaned my room when the stupid druids came out. More Cm punk, more Cm punk, more Cm punk, LISTEN WWE
Cm Punk looks like the kids of today. He is cool and im sick of WWE trying to make him to being the bad guy all the time. He does not do drugs and dont drink alcohol. I liked Jeff but now everyone ssays he is not a good role model for younger people. Cm punk, Cm punk, Cm punk

I think if the script writers at WWE source from the fans it keeps it fresh and exciting, but if they get snared in their own heads and in formula then things can slide backwards as we have seen with the return of the Undertaker for the millionth time. Folks are bored with it. There’s an endless amount of ideas and the fans (and theres plenty of ideas just here amongst CMPUNK.COM fans and members, not just my shit…)

Punk vs Michaels an all-kicking all killer match. Id pay for a pay-per-view for that. Michaels is ageless, but no bad guy angle, just badass vs badass. Not too much mouthing, just a whole lotta kickin. I go for that. Something honest, keeping it REAL.
Sounds like the real deal. I’d pay to see that too. Though I dont think there should be any heel stuff either. Just hardman vs hardman. Great premise lads.
I think thats something the WWE needs to understand. There doesnt always need to be a bad guy or a heel for a match to be successful. Just the best wrestlers giving it up for their fans. The Hero shit is outdated anyway. John Cena outside of America gets booed. I think viewers are more clever than WWE thinks.
I agree sun tzu. All this storyline shit is getting in the way of the wrestling. Fans aren’t stupid and expect more than we are getting at the minute. I have kids and they all hate John Cena so this good guy stuff just isn’t working. Punk is definately a better roll model, and I don’t just mean the straight edge stuff, I mean his talent in the ring. He is the reason my 6 year old daughter wants to learn kickboxing!

It was a good show because Cm Punk was in it. If Cm Punk is not in it its just boring, especially since Jeff has gone.
