Is this evidence of WWE kowtowing to the Freemasons to prevent any form of pop culture presenting a populist hero that stands up to the corporate establishment? In the words of Bill Hicks—”Go to sleep, America—there’s nothing to see here”. Just wondering.
The Raw ratings are at a record low because there is no story being told. Well—-except that Vince McMahon and John Cena are heroes and anyone who speaks out is a cowardly heel. Great f***ing story. No wonder it’s selling so well.

Watched the documentary. The thing is, people are digging Ryback because there’s some kind of wrestling law that says the ‘Syco Sid’ / ‘Undefeated Undertaker Streak’ / ‘Goldberg’ style streak is going to be hot once every ten years. John Cena is literally the Hulk Hogan for this modern era, and represents children and the WWE wants a younger audience.
CM Punk should face both of them. He should dominate Ryback on the mat, in the air, and showing the indomitable will and spirit that defeated the Undertaker.
Then, he should cripple John Cena. Destroy the arm, like a modern day Tully Blanchard. Just destroy tendons, rip cartilage, and sever muscle from bone — pull a Macho Man on him, send him packing for more than a week — so he’ll have a WHOLE season of Raw to watch and comment on when he gets back — if the dirtsheets are right, it’s time for a change. Then Punk, after getting both of them where he wants them, cuffs ‘em to the Cell, and leaves the arena, losing on a countout. Perfect end. Punk retains after proving himself the better man, and Cena can say he won, and Ryback keeps his ‘streak’ alive.

Neither Cm Punk should retain the title

It seems that “sarah” does have some limited idea that wrestling is scripted. However, “sarah”, if you truly do support CM Punk and a change in the structure of the WWE—you shouldn’t be supporting this awful storyline. The bottom line is that Punk is willingly playing the cowardly heel to “The Huckster” John Cena in storyline. Punk is in real danger of being not relevant at all by this time next year.
In a proper storyline that would give Punk the respect he derserves as an on-air personality and character and as a real-life wrestler who HAS paif his dues and which would improve the stale WWE, Punk SHOULD be the good guy up against the corporate establishment. Instead we’re getting McMahon/Cena/Corporate as the heroes and Punk as a bad guy who even kneels and begs McMahon not to hit him and kicks old men from behind. It is reported that Punk is fairly arrogant in real life, so I doubt that he cares what any of his smarter fans have to say, but if he thinks that he’s going to get a payoff for this story and this version of his character, he’s going to find out that he’s wrong when it’s too late.
In a world of Occupy and corporate corruption and skullduggery, the WWE and Cena being the heroes in a story like this is like having Kiefer Sutherland stab all the kids to death at the end of “Stand By Me”. It ain’t a story that way, and people will either not care about it or worse, be turned off by it because it doesn’t make them feel very good about themselves or life. Entertainment is supposed to do the opposite.
Punk would be better off, if he really does feel slighted backstage, just quitting the WWE and saving the integrity and marketability of his wrestling persona for a better time. Sad to say there isn’t much competition to the WWE for him to go to and really have a truly national stage—but then again—WWE’s demographic is shrinking so much the last few years that soon it won’t do to call them “national” either. For the time being though—-CM Punk is causing a lot of his own future and current problems by eating this s#it. And it’s making his former “Voice of the Voiceless” schtick, which COULD have been hugely popular into something he’ll never be able to go back to, because there is an element of people suspending disbelief for that schtick to work that he’s irrevocably ruining by playing it out this way.

An interesting conversation…yet I think that despite your enthusiasm, you know the truth, which is why you’re upset. The truth is this:
We all do know, without knowing him personally, that Phil Brooks has worked his a## off to get where he is. And now he’s blowing it and letting it be blown for him. If nothing changes with this storyline, it won’t matter how well he’s playing this heel. Because this heel is:
a.) displaying cowardly tactics and an outdated 1980′s Bill Watts heel persona
b.) making speaking up against the staleness of Cena and WWE in general sound like it’s wrong, and that Cena is right and WWE is right not to change. “Anyone who speaks up is a whiny phony” seems to be the gist of it.
c.) putting a lie to the fourth wall breaking “Voice of the Voiceless” that Punk COULD have played and which could have, done correctly ,brought Raw and Punk to 1999/SCSA ratings and heights, given the current socio-economic situation in the country. Not saying that there would be or should be a return to “Attitude”—only that Punk could have tapped a mainstream nerve like Austin did in the late 90′s. It could have a continuation, in a way. Austin just blindly kicked dirt in the fact of “the Boss”, like a lot of folks wished they could have. Punk was, until the storyline died in its tracks, actually articulating WHY the Boss needed dirt kicked in his face. This was new and exciting. Operative word—-WAS.
Now that he’s bricked and mortared himself back firmly behind only three walls as this rotten heel persona, he’s lost the ability to ever tap the “Voice of The Voiceless” again and have people believe or at least suspend their disbelief that he is a true rebel and a force of change in a company that is sinking downhill into a syndicated cartoon show that caters to a preteen and adolescent audience and given a couple of more years won’t even cater well to anyone at all—- it will have become so inane and boring and superficial.

Yeah—playing the heel better than Cena playing the good guy is true, I will give you that—but that’s like being a better swimmer in the frozen water around the sinking Titanic. It’s ultimately a moot point.
Punk needs to get out of this situation fast.

i doubt my opinion counts. I realy think cm is good wrestler. He is the reason I started watching. I agree its getting old beteen cena. Forgiive me but i like cena BUT cena has had his many many and to many chnces. i liked what punk said in olklahoma even though the crowd booed and didn’t listen. just like football or basket ball you get onc chance per year to win and then if yyou loose you go back to the end of the liine. so cena should not get another chnce. i like that punk stands up but i truely don’t’ want punk to loose or get fired. just like the tag team matches thats how the championship should be. cena gets way to much attention and too many chances. if punk says he is the best let him prove it against ryback. BUT i don’t want ryback as a chanpion even though he has defeated everyone of his opponents. last i agree with whats been said. also i hope big show doesn’t win. I do agree we are running low on oponets. I think punk has dug a hole he can’t win. I understand respect but he has become a bully hitting poeple that didn’t deserve it. Thats why some have lost respect. I think cm is funny and charming in and on intervews and it shows the real guy.. punk has great voice and awesome wwrestler. but his attitude needs a huge ajustment. he is going about it the wrong way and that is why some of us have lost respect. i agree that the main events should be centered around the champoin whoever that may be and not cena. cena. has become too famous for nothing especially losing what sicx matches. its a no brainer if punk choses cena-punk will win . cena news to step up his gamei and win a match. one way or the other it will be fun to watch. I think wrestling is like a soapopara but with some wrestling. they need less talkking and more wrestling.

To answer the question asked above, Ryback loves eating hot dogs. Big ol’ wieners. Nothing he loves more than taking down a foot long wiener, and just when you think he can’t possibly stuff another wiener in his mouth, he shouts, ‘Feed Me More’.
